Alumni: Nia Jermin

Nia began performing at the young age of 5, becoming the founder member of the Mark Jermin Stage School before moving to London to train at Arts Educational, graduating in 2007. Nia is currently appearing in the West End musical Signin’ in the Rain at the Palace Theatre. 

Theatre Credits include Les Miserables (Palace Theatre) “Children Will Listen”(Theatre Royal Drury Lane) “Follies In Concert” (London Palladium,)  South Pacific (UK Tour,) Singin In The Rain (West End + UK Tour,) Chicago (Aberystwyth Arts Centre,) High School Rocks,  The Goodbye Girl (UK Tour) and Frank Vickery’s “Loose Ends” (UK Tour) and Legally Blonde, the Musical (UK Tour).  Nia has played the title roles in pantomimes “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty” (both Grand Theatre Swansea) and Wendy in “Peter Pan”, Rhyl Pavillion Theatre and The Producers (UK Tour), Singing in the Rain (UK Tour and Toyko), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK Tour)

Film: The Life and Death of Phillip Knight (Yorkshire Television) About a Boy, Love Actually (both Working Title) and A Week In the Life... (Pukka Films)

Television: Laura in Doc Martin (ITV) Daisy Whittcomb in Casualty (BBC), a lead cast member in the 12-episode CBBC sketch show Stupid, Helen in HTV’s Nuts and Bolts, Vicky in Teachers (Channel 4.)

Nia has appeared in over 50 television commercials during her years at the Mark Jermin Stage School.
