Alumni: Shaheen Jafargholi

Shaheen joining the Mark Jermin Stage School at age 5. He played the character Troy in the children's television series Grandpa in My Pocket. He has also appeared in the Torchwood episode "Greeks Bearing Gifts" playing Danny.

Credits includes UK touring productions of Macbeth, The King and I and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (choir). He appeared in Mine All MineA Way of Life and a short film called Day at the Beach. TV appearances include The Frank Skinner ShowNickelodeon UK. Shaheen has also taken part in advertisements for Delta Air LinesDebenhams and DFS.

Aged 9, Shaheen landed the role of the Young Michael Jackson in the UK and European Tour of Thriller Live. Shaheen travelled for 2 years on tour with this hit musical production.

In 2009, Shaheen entered the ITV show Britain’s got Talent, where he stunned judges and the world watching with his flawless rendition of ‘Who’s Loving You’. Following his performance Shaheen was invited to perform at the Memorial service of Michael Jackson. Shaheen has performed at many prestigious worldwide events and TV shows on both sides of the atlantic including The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, 2010 Mobo Awards, BBC Switch, 2010 Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony, BBC Children in Need Gala, Big Welsh Talent Show, URDD Opening Ceremony 2011.

In 2014 Jafargholi performed as 'The Genie' in The New Victoria Theatre's pantomime, 'Aladdin'.

In May 2016, Jafargholi joined the cast of the BBC soap opera, EastEnders, portraying Shakil Kazemi. His character was killed off two years later in May 2018 in a controversial knife-crime storyline where Shakil was stabbed and killed by a gang.

On 1 August 2018, it was announced that Jafargholi had joined the cast of Casualty as nurse Marty Kirkby
