A MID SUMMER CATCH UP… and it’s still heating up…
We saw so many talented actors in our Monologue Slam Final at The Other Palace – none more so than Mark Jermin student Esther Stephens, who wowed the judges with her incredible performance.
The star-studded competition is judged by world- and industry-renowned professionals including huge UK casting directors, major performers, creative teams and some of the UK’s biggest agents and talent scouts!
Esther (a MJ Virtual Student and Slam finalist pictured below) put on such an amazing display at our Monologue Slam Final that she received a straight offer for a brand-new project from one of the casting directors who judged the competition.
Esther is just one of our MJ Students that have gained professional opportunities from our Monologue Slam Term last term, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her.

LWith Industry Week in full swing, and the Summer term behind us, we’ve got lots more success stories to tell you about. Here’s what our students have been up to :
OTIS JOI (pictured) – Has been working on a Barclaycard commercial project. And also gained a featured role in brand new project ‘A Kind of Spark’ which is an adaptation of the best-selling books by Elle McNicholls.
MIA MARGARET – Landed a role featuring in a brand-new music video for hit band The 1975!
MARK BARRON – Gained a role working on a brand new project for the BBC.
TOM O’CONNEL – Has been working on BBC’s hit TV show Casualty in a featured role!
ROURKE MOONEY (pictured) – Has been given a role in ‘Sexy Beast’ for Paramount Pictures
MAX RAINBOW & TOBY PURBRICK – Have both been asked back to continue their work on a voiceover project for the Harry Potter Franchise after receiving their original roles last month
MIA LEPPERT – Also has landed a role working as a voice over artist for the Harry Potter Franchise AFTER workshopping this in a voice lesson… training works and lands you that job!
NASRI THOMPSON (pictured) – Has been confirmed on a brand new commercial campaign for NIKE.
ZENANI CHANTELLE – Has been confirmed on a brand new commercial campaign for TESCO
WILLIAM NEWTON & TOBY REES – Have flown to Florida to join the cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert aboard the NCL Cruise Lines.
LILY WILLIAMS – Landed a role working on a brand new TV Series ‘The Winter King’, an adaptation of the hit book series ‘The Warlord Chronicles’
JORGE LAKE, ARIA ROSE, ELIJAH ROWLEY, KELTON JAY, LEO HARRIS, WINNIE COATES, DARCEE RENEE (pictured) – Have all gained roles in a huge upcoming commercial campaign for brand ‘Character.com’
FLORISA KAMARA, AMELIA ENTWISTLE, CHARLIE KIRKHOUSE – All have landed a role in brand new TV Series for BBC called ‘Grime Kids’ which is set to be a huge it

OTTILILE KEEL – Has been asked to join the cast of Season 2 of ‘The Outlaws’ for BBC by joining a table read for the new series.
ROSIE EKENNA – Gained a featured part in CBBC’s Hit TV Show ‘So Awkward’.
LAILA BARWICK – Has received a part in a brand-new short film called ‘Travelling Past’.
ATHAN MARTYNCH, FREDDIE LOVELL, TOM PERRY – Have all been asked to work on ‘Dodger’ TV Series for BBC which is an adaptation of the Oliver Twist tales.
NYEMAH BENTLEY – Has landed a role working for FunKids Radio on a brand new project for the brand.
TOM RYAN – Has received a role as a brand new REGULAR character in Hit UK Soap ‘HollyOaks’.

Last month we announced our October half-term residential course SIX – The Musical (teen edition), spanning both St Teresa’s and MJ HQ Venue No1 in Swansea. We’ve had an amazing response and places are booking up fast. Find out more here!
The first of our three Industry Week’s was a massive HIT. We enjoyed lots of surprises and had so much fun with exclusive access to incredible opportunities. Week 2 is now coming to a close. Check out our social media channels to see what we’ve been getting up to.
