Today is officially December 1st, and we’ve got the perfect way to celebrate the start of your advent calendar – some of the biggest success stories we’ve ever recorded at Mark Jermin!! This past month has proven that it really, really does happen with Team MJÂ

NOVEMBER IN NUMBERS!
5⃣ students MOLLY PEPPER TUER, ISABELLE HEBBS, SIENNA HUNTE, TAHVAE HUNTE, ZAKI JOGI gained roles in an exciting upcoming campaign for Whatsapp!
Mark Jermin students have also secured commercial roles for McDonald’s (RHYS CANNON), Natwest Banking (SOPHIA CURTIS, OTIS JOI) and Nintendo (ALEXA AND SEB GOODALL).
MJ students ED HOLE and SEREN BOWEN have both landed roles in the HUGE 4⃣th series of a majorly popular Netflix show! 
This amazing Netflix series has been cast by former MJ Student LAUREN EVANS who attended the school from the age of 8 before becoming an agent at Mark Jermin Management. Lauren made contact with casting companies such as Sasha Robertson and worked at Nina Gold’s office for 5 years. We are so proud!
This month, we’ve had students feature in the 3⃣ leading UK Christmas Commercials! MJ students are taking over our screens on every ad break! Catch BROOKE HART in the heart-warming John Lewis ad ‘The Beginner’, HUW HUCKSTEP  can be seen in stores, on screen and billboards around the UK as the lead in the Marks & Spencers Christmas ad, and MULTIPLE MJ students are featured in this year’s ASDA advert alongside A Lister Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf! 
2⃣ students have made national press this month! They’ve been heavily featured in news articles and talked about on TV and social media. This includes BROOKE HART for her role in the John Lewis Xmas ad (check out Brooke’s reaction video on our Instagram
And how amazing was it to see Alan Carr replacing Mark in telling student OLIVER SAVELL “you got the job” of playing Alan in a docuseries of his life, which starts shooting next year (watch the Video of Alan surprising Oliver at his home here

There is 1⃣ UK Entry representing the UK in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest and that shining talent is none other than MJ Student FREYA SKYE! The UK haven’t had a contestant in the competition since 2005, making our pride for Freya just that much more! We can’t wait to watch her on December 11th!

GEORGIA THORNE has landed a role in a feature film, FLORISA KAMARA secured the lead in a short film shooting at the end of November (details coming very soon!), AYO AWOYEMI gained a role on a new short film entitled ‘1-UP’, filming very soon (keep your eyes peeled for more!), and SCARLETT COBURN has been confirmed to appear in a brand new, super exciting short film called ‘Chip Shop Girls’.
ON TV SCREENS!
OLIVER WATSON secured a lead role in Netflix’s hotly anticipated show ‘Wednesday’ alongside fellow MJ student AVA OTTEN. BIENVENU MASIKINI landed a role on BBC’s hit soap ‘Casualty’, BAZ PATTERSON secured a job for an upcoming commercial campaign for brand Kaufland filming soon, and BENJAMIN CHIVERS and AVIELLA BURCH have gained featured roles in a new commercial campaign for a charity brand!
ON THEÂ STAGEÂ 
KIZZY MURRELL has come off the back of a year on the West End stage with an offer to continue her role in ‘Tina! The Musical’.Â
VOICEOVER PROJECTS!
FRANKIE JAE landed a part in a SKY Music project, MILES DAVIS secured a role in a new project called ‘Love Language’, ABBIE SALTER worked hard this month to land a role in new project ‘Here’, and after working extremely hard in this year’s summer school on voiceover skills, MARK BARRON has been non-stop working with his most recent credit a voiceover on an exciting new project! We can’t wait to share more about these exciting projects soon!

IN REHEARSALS!
MJ Adults student DANNIKA DUDFIELD officially began rehearsals as she joined the cast of one of the UK’s most popular Christmas Pantomimes!
SEVERALÂ MJ students and clients have also began rehearsals as leading roles in Pantomimes and Christmas shows all over the UK, including a selection of MJ Students appearing in this year’s Snow White Pantomime at MJ HQ Venue No.1 in Swansea.Â

Starting November with a BANG with Team MJ!Â
We’re all fired up after an incredibly busy few weeks with some dynamite success stories to tell you. November looks set to be a firecracker of a month!Â
From the National Television Awards to Netflix and the BAFTAs to the BBC, there’s so much MJ news this month, here’s a few highlights –Â keep scrolling!!
THREE of our students were award-winning this month. In My Skin, starring the amazing GABRIELLE CREAVY (once a student, now a teacher!) won three awards at the BAFTA’s with team MJ in attendance. Plus the film Grav also won, starring IEUAN EVANS – who gained the role while studying at MJ! And at the National Television Awards, super MJ client PADDY BEAVER won best newcomer for his work on Coronation Street.
Mark, Nia, Hannah and the team flew the MJ flag at Musical Con, the home of everything musical, at the Excel Centre in London. We were overwhelmed with everyone who came to our busy stand!
The team also headed to the Press Night Party for student MARIA GOODMAN‘s role in the brand new musical The Famous Five!
MJ student ALIS WATERS also attended an industry screening for her newest project ‘Flatshare’ for Paramount Plus!
This half term we had an amazing few days at our Swansea HQ Venue No.1 working with the West End stars of SIX for our SIX REMIXED workshop – such a privilege to be working with Sophie Isaacs & Vicki Mansell and thanks to all the students who joined us, amazing to see you develop so quickly over the three days. Watch the video on our insta here (and some of the ghostly goings-on at MJ HQ here

TWO of our students are set to star in an ABSOLUTELY HUGE new Netflix series – after they were cast at Industry Week. Big, big congrats to ASH SELF and LJ BENNION who nailed it at this summer’s Industry Week. MILLIE RYDER flew to Rome (yes, Rome!) to attend the premiere of Sky’s adaptation of DJANGO on 16 October – huge congrats to Millie, another one of this year’s Industry Week-ers. We don’t know yet when the first episode will air but it’s set to be a smash on both sides of the Atlantic when it does! |
Four MJ-ers –Â LUCIA BRIDSON, ROWEN FERNANDO, SAFIYAH SULEYMANOVA, HUW HUCKSTEP –Â have all been confirmed to work on an exciting BBC Live Session in South Wales and are filming this month! Good luck guys and have the best time 
We’ve got a nice collection of students & clients appearing on commercials to tell you about. LORIEN TEAR landed two jobs this half term – a Red Cross commercial and a role in a commercial for safety app âWalk Safeâ. Plus TOM OâCONNELL has been booked on a Heathrow Airport commercial, TOMASIN LAWSON will soon be working on a UK-wide BBC World Cup campaign and LIYANA ANGEL has landed a role in an upcoming Cadbury commercial.
On your TV screens you’ll soon be seeing Swansea In-Person Student LEO HARRIS on hit soap BBC’s Casualty. EMILY JO YOUNG, one of our Small Group Acting Students has landed a role in a new Netflix show and will shoot in Manchester later this year! And we’re SO PROUD of the lovely AVIELLA BURCH – one of our MJ students – who has finally been announced as starring in the new cast of Malory Towers for Season 4 – which sees Aviella as Ruth Batten. Malory Towers is also showing in the US now and soon to be in Australia too.Â
EIRE FARRELL is confirmed for an upcoming LEGO commercial and instructional videos! Another Casualty appearance is confirmed for CALEB PARFITT, and a secret project for GEORGIA THORNE! She’ll be featuring in a huge feature film, so keep your eyes peeled. In the mean time, catch Georgia in the leading role of Sky’s Midwitch Cuckoos.
Shhh! ADAM LAHRAOUI has landed a role in an exciting music video… but we can’t reveal the details yet! 
 But we can tell you that FRANCESCA DE COURCEY is in a short film called ‘Firefly’ which begins filming soon.
As well as her lead role in the brand new musical The Famous Five, MARIA GOODMAN is also working on upcoming festive project ‘A Topsy Turvy Christmas’.
MARK BARRON will soon start work on an exciting voiceover project – Mark attended last summer’s Industry Week where he worked on how to land a voiceover role, nice work Mark! Make sure you keep reading to find our about our new Voice Reel course for 2023 where you can learn to do the same.
MJ students BEN CHIVERS and ALEXA GOODALL have also wrapped up their lead roles in The Devil’s Hour, which is out now on Prime and we’re busy watching!

- POPPY VAUGHANÂ (Swansea In Person Student) was on screen in BBC’s Casualty
- HUW HUCKSTEP and EDDISON BURCH, both MJ Virtuals and Small Group Acting Students, have been on the podcast MY LIFE which Swansea Student and Jerminator LILY WILLIAMS also appeared in, plus  NYEMAH BENTLEY and FRANCESCA DE COURCY also recorded for this project. This series is now available on Spotify!
At Mark Jermin, as well as teaching our students the ways of the performance industries, we’re also about building confidence and teaching valuable life skills. Which is why we’re so proud of MJ student CHANTELLE ESI who’s won a spot as a judge on BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Chantelle’s Mum kindly wrote to us:Â
“We would like to thank you so much for giving Chan the confidence of believing in herself. They were very impressed in how articulate and confident she was. We are absolutely thrilled for her.”

WHAT ELSE WE’RE UP TO?…
October saw the launch of the sensational viral video produced and filmed by Mark Jermin for charity âHands up for Downsâ. Well done to Olivia Southgate, one of the stars, who was also on the red carpet at the BAFTA Cymru Awards for her part in In My Skin. If you’ve not watched the video yet make sure you do here.
Mark also attended the ActorsProExpo as a guest judge for âMeals for Monologuesâ with casting director Olissa Rogers.
We love spending time with Olissa and we were lucky enough to have her judge our Monologue Slam this summer too.

What an incredible start to autumn!Â
Can you believe September is over already? We’ve had the best month getting back to classes – online and in-person, seeing old faces and lots of new ones too!Â
It’s been a super successful month over at Mark Jermin Management too, with loads of our students & clients landing new roles, pencils and auditions!

TWO MJ STUDENTS gained roles in series 2 of Netflix’s ‘Heartstopper’ alongside Olivia Coleman. This success comes DIRECTLY from Industry Week where the Daniel Edwards Casting Team attended. If you’ve not booked for Industry Week for 2023 yet make sure you do before all the spaces go!
AROOP SHERGILL (pictured)Â has been cast in a brand new McDonald’s campaign and also upcoming short film âThat Winning Feelingâ.
LOGAN MATTHEWSÂ secured a role in a Frio Lay commercial
POPPY VAUGHAN (pictured), SEREN JONESÂ have been working on a voiceover for an Animation Series called âMITTENSâ
EVIE LOUW has landed a role in an upcoming Nintendo campaign. MJ has had MULTIPLE students filming with Nintendo recently with lots of campaigns being broadcasted around the UK and beyond.
TAHVAE HUNTE (pictured):Â cast in the new FIFA 23 campaign
MOLLY PEPPER TUERÂ landed a dream role in a brand new Christina Aguilera music video.
ZENANI CATHLINE, OTTILEE KEEL, OLIVER SAVELL, STANLEY HIGGINS, NANDINI SHARMAÂ have all been cast in the upcoming ASDA Christmas commercial campaign.
ARCHIE CRONIN STANLEY has landed a role in a new commercial for Haven.
NYEMAH BENTLEY (pictured)Â has landed a lead role as Ama in Ama’s World which is a SKY mini series.
LORIEN TEAR is one of our MJ Adults students who has secured a lead role in a Red Cross commercial. Find out more about joining our virtual MJ Adult classes here.
CONALL TURNER has landed the role of Leopold Winkman in Netflix’s âLockwood and Coâ –Â a huge show for an MJ Student to be a part of. This role came DIRECTLY from a Small Group Acting workshop with Mark where Conall worked on the script, self taped then ultimately landed the role.
FINTAN BUCKARD (pictured)Â started filming this month for CBBC’s Phoenix Rise.
OLIVER MANLEY has been filming for a UK wide BUPA campaign after attending Commercial Acting Class with Mark at Industry Week.
HARRY SPALDING, TOBIAS FREDRIKSON are going BACK on the Norwegian Cruise with the company of âPriscilla Queen of the Desertâ  in the role of BenjiâŠÂ Mark Jermin Management will be looking for 2 more boys to join this amazing opportunity soon!Â

ALEXA and SEB GOODALL (SIBLINGS): Â Alexa has recently filmed a commercial campaign for Haven and both Alexa and Seb have been asked to return to film a second Nintendo campaign.
STANLEY POTTER and CONALL TURNER landed roles in an upcoming UK TV 30th Gold Commercial. Stanley has also landed a role in a Shelter campaign alongside JUDE UGHEBE.
SIXTEEN MJ STUDENTSÂ landed roles in a much-anticipated, returning Netflix series (we can’t say!!)Â more details of this will be on our socials soon!Â
HARRY and HUW HUCKSTEPÂ It’s a Double Bubble for this family as both brothers are working non-stop. Student Harry has recently been filming a MAJOR UK commercial campaign while brother Huw has is working on a voiceover project.

Mali Morse got some great advice from Mark and Nia in her Jerminators session before auditioning, then just SEVEN days later we were calling her back to let her know she’d landed the role!
Mersey Moore landed a regular part in The Beaker Girls for CBBC following her audition at the beginning of summer! Check our social media to see the moment we called Mersey to tell her!Â
On Saturday, we joined Mersey, Mali and the rest of TDG gang at BAFTA’s 195 Piccadilly for an extra special screening of the new series which is set to hit screens very soon! It was an amazing day for everyone.

It will be an unforgettable training and performance experience like no other! Experience our new residential week in both Swansea and Surrey, themed on the epic SIX The Musical (Teen Edition) by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. Expect an unforgettable week of intensive training and rehearsals culminating in Musical Theatre performances of SIX with full set, costumes, sound, lighting, professional production and live audience! Join our online Mark Jermin community every Wednesday or Thursday where we share tips, pointers and incredible industry info on the hottest and latest castings, opportunities and experiences!
Classes involve games, voice and accent work, scripts, sight reading, devising and audition techniques.Â
Our Weekly Virtual classes are a wonderful, low cost, low commitment and easily accessible course that is heavily influenced by the industry. MJ Virtual classes allow students to develop their skills and continue their training from the comfort of their home whilst receiving incredible insight knowledge to becoming a professional actor led by Mark Jermin and an incredible team of professional expert tutors.
Our Stagey Sundays with the Jerminators and the fantastic line up of Guest Teachers return this term, for 6 jam packed hours of intense training in Musical Theatre⊠this is perfect for any passionate performer.
Following this in person class at MJ HQ in Swanseaâs Arts hub Venue No.1 will be an exciting showcase cabaret lead by West End stars including Hayley Gallivan (former Elphaba in WICKED, and Sister of Olaf Original London cast of Frozen (Craig Gallivan) and Christina Modestou (original cast and Anne Boleyn in SIX the Musical.) EMILY HE, LOGAN MATHEWSÂ (pictured)Â – also landed commercials for SKY.Â
MAXWELL HOBBS – shot a commercial campaign for Sports Direct.
GRACE NETTLE (pictured) – landed a role in a new SKY commercial. She also secured a role on the new GumTree commercial, along with ALEX MASON and LILY WILLIAMS
EDDISON BURCH, KAELAN ESSEL – filmed several days on “Sex Education” series 4.
EVA PATEL, AMELIA ENTWISTLE – spent their days this summer alongside A-Listers in the new DUNE Pt2 feature film.
Also this month:
- EVA OSSEI attended the red carpet London premiere of HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon.
- The Dumping Ground continues filming this Summer for a selection of students and clients: MERSEY MOORE, MALI MORSE plus you may see GWEN AND NELLY CURRANT (originally in TDG for a large number of years and with a huge fan base) return to the show for a special episode!!
- Pinocchio is due for release on Disney Channel this September featuring BEN EVAN AINSWORTH

A MID SUMMER CATCH UP… and it’s still heating up…
We saw so many talented actors in our Monologue Slam Final at The Other Palace – none more so than Mark Jermin student Esther Stephens, who wowed the judges with her incredible performance.
The star-studded competition is judged by world- and industry-renowned professionals including huge UK casting directors, major performers, creative teams and some of the UKâs biggest agents and talent scouts!
Esther (a MJ Virtual Student and Slam finalist pictured below) put on such an amazing display at our Monologue Slam Final that she received a straight offer for a brand-new project from one of the casting directors who judged the competition.
Esther is just one of our MJ Students that have gained professional opportunities from our Monologue Slam Term last term, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her.

OTIS JOI (pictured) –Â Has been working on a Barclaycard commercial project. And also gained a featured role in brand new project âA Kind of Sparkâ which is an adaptation of the best-selling books by Elle McNicholls.
MIA MARGARET –Â Landed a role featuring in a brand-new music video for hit band The 1975!
MARK BARRON –Â Gained a role working on a brand new project for the BBC.
TOM OâCONNEL – Has been working on BBCâs hit TV show Casualty in a featured role!
ROURKE MOONEY (pictured) – Has been given a role in âSexy Beastâ for Paramount Pictures
MAX RAINBOW & TOBY PURBRICK – Have both been asked back to continue their work on a voiceover project for the Harry Potter Franchise after receiving their original roles last month
MIA LEPPERT – Also has landed a role working as a voice over artist for the Harry Potter Franchise AFTER workshopping this in a voice lesson⊠training works and lands you that job!
NASRI THOMPSON (pictured) –Â Has been confirmed on a brand new commercial campaign for NIKE.
ZENANI CHANTELLE –Â Has been confirmed on a brand new commercial campaign for TESCO
WILLIAM NEWTON & TOBY REES â Have flown to Florida to join the cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert aboard the NCL Cruise Lines.
LILY WILLIAMS –Â Landed a role working on a brand new TV Series âThe Winter Kingâ, an adaptation of the hit book series âThe Warlord Chroniclesâ

NYEMAH BENTLEY â Has landed a role working for FunKids Radio on a brand new project for the brand.
TOM RYAN –Â Has received a role as a brand new REGULAR character in Hit UK Soap âHollyOaksâ.

]]>Student Success Stories: Lead role in the Hunger Games for Kaitlyn!
We were already having an incredible month for Student Success at Mark Jermin, with so many epic opportunities for our talented students – and then right at the end of the month the brilliant Kaitlyn Akinpelumi blew us out the water!
We can now reveal Kaitlyn has been chosen for a lead role in the upcoming Hunger Games prequel – The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes – such a huge achievement and we’re so very proud of her. She’s mentioned in this article by the US-based Deadline (with a Mark Jermin mention too, which was very nice of them!).
The latest instalment in the billion-dollar Hunger Games franchise hits screens in 2023 and we can’t wait to see Kaitlyn light it up with her MJ magic!

June will always be truly memorable thanks to the incredible experience we had at the Child of Britain Awards at the Grosvenor Hotel in London, where more than 30 Mark Jermin students travelled up to perform as part of the Child of Britain Choir in the 2022 Awards presented by Eamon Holmes with special performance guest Callum Scott.

Goodbye April Showers, Hello May Sunshine!
Wow, what a month its been here at MJHQ, from awards ceremonies to students landing major roles we’ve had it all going on. So we just wanted to get in touch to welcome the new month and share our amazing student success and news from the brilliant month that was April!
With entering May, that also means we’ve began to enter our brand new summer term which means new courses, new classes, and of course the return of MONOLOGUE SLAM!Â

Itâs a week of exciting announcements for the Child of Britain Awards, as they unveil another sponsor for the awards in June.
This week the team proudly announced the news that Mark Jermin will become the sponsor of the Young Performer Award at this year’s 2022 ceremony.
